Maestro's

Modern Pyramids, Inc. (MPI) was responsible for supplying mechanical, electrical, and pumbing (MEP) engineering at the popular, new Atlanta facility, Maestro's at Castleberry. The renovated retail spaces exist within one of Russell Properties multi-story In-Town Loft complexes.  This establishment attracts consumers who patronize areas surrounding the  Georgia Dome and the Atlanta University Center (AUC).

The construction schedule at Maestro's at Castleberry was fast track and directly supervised by business legends, Herman Russell and James Paschel. Modern Pyramids  provided technical support for their disciplines during the construction phase. Close coordination and collaboration was required among owners, project managers, design team members, contractors, and equipment suppliers. The MEP design ensured compliance with local and national building codes for personal safety and permitting purposes by building inspectors for the city of Atlanta

MPI's mechanical engineering subcontractor business partners and subcontractor was responsible for the HVAC and plumbing designs. Decorative, exposed supply- and return-air ducts were selected. Plumbing designs consisted of floor drains, vent pipes, sprinkler modifications, bathroom fixtures, refrigerant piping, as well as conduit specifying for beverage dispensers, hand sinks, icemakers, and grease traps.

MPI assessed  the suitability of the existing electrical service entrance equipment. Coodination meetings were held with the local electric utility (Georgia Power Company - GPC). Continuous electrical service  was needed for Maestro's at Castleberry's residential customers. were significant design factors. Proper metering and electric billing was also essential among various retail tenants. MPI's developed a customized engineering solution to support  a HVAC system which had to be substantially increased for the comfort of the occupants.

A motorized skyfold door can segment the events area. One portion can continuously provide upscale entertainment inside a sporting atmosphere. Private functions can meet in another segment with a dance floor, stage lighting facilities, and additional audio-visual equipment.   Maestro's at Castleberry specialty lighting can be centrally managed via a Lutron dimming system.

Maestro's at Castleberry's cafe and deli are on a upper area.  MPI provided a fire alarm design to interconnect with the previous existing fire alarm system. MPI's MEP designs were consistent with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines including the installation of a new elevator for transportation between the cafe and sports entertainment areas.
