FIRM HISTORY AND PHILOSOPHY: Modern Pyramids, Inc. (MPI) is privately held and a wholly African-American family owned business. Modern Pyramids Inc. was initially incorporated by Irving Bernard Fordham in the state of Georgia on the first day of business in 1993.  Additional sources of seed capital were furnished by Mr. Fordham's siblings. A few commercial projects were completed during the mid-1990’s.  MPI operations were resumed in 2003. Entrepreneural zeal plus marketing feedback from the local architectural community convinced the founder that an underserved market exist within Georgia, Alabama, and the Carolinas for electrical engineering design services. The firm is based in the suburbs of Atlanta, GA. The early years of the principal was spent in apprenticeships within several prestigious electrical engineering operations under many senior electrical engineers ane engineering managers. 

ORIGINS OF CORPORATE NAME AND LOGO: The corporate logo blends  skylines of Atlanta, GA with the Great Pyramids of Giza in Egypt. These images symbolically rest on the year of foundation (1993) which is depicted in Roman numerals. The corporate name was derived by the founder. He combined four (4) core principles and themes that he wanted inside his firm: engineering/technology, futuristic, quality, and African ancestry. In lieu of ancient pyramids, the process resulted in the idea or notion of "Modern Pyramids".

DESIGN APPROACH FOR PROJECT AND MANAGEMENT PLANS; Irving Fordham, P.E. is responsible for the overall execution of design projects. He manages project execution as it relates to scope and construction schedule. Principal-in-Charge (PIC) / Project Manager (PM): Irving Fordham direct involvement is the cornerstone of the MPI project delivery system. The principal-in-charge carries the ultimate responsibility for design team communications, timely project delivery and the maintenance of design excellence. The Project Manager primarily serves as project communicator and coordinator.  The PM assist with developing and generating schedules and milestones for the design team, project reviews are coordinated by the PIC/PM. The PM has the ultimate responsibility regarding design issues. Principal and Project Designer are responsibe to utilize creative problem solving techniques that  lead and propel the design direction for a well planned design solution for the end-user. The electrical design team is assembled. Production goals are adhered to by hands on management. Qualitative and quantitative issues fall within the review of the Principal, senior project Electrical Engineer or designer.
